Nejib Belkadhi

Born on May 13th 1972, in Tunis. After studying Business and Marketing at the IHEC Carthage, Nejib began a directing, screenwriting, producing and acting career in film, commercials, theatre and television. He started his first steps as a director on Television at Canal+ Horizons in 1999.

After studying Business and Marketing at the IHEC Carthage, Nejib began a directing, screenwriting, producing and acting career in film, commercials, theatre and television. He started his first steps as a director on Television at Canal+ Horizons in 1999. In 2002, he founded Propaganda Productions with his friend Imed Marzouk who later became his producer. In 2005 he directed his first short fiction movie called "Tsawer." The film was selected in over 30 festivals in 11 countries. In 2006, his feature documentary movie VHS-Kahloucha was selected in more than 50 festivals including a world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and a selection at the official competition at the Sundance Film Festival. It won 7awards in different festivals. In 2013, his first feature film "Bastardo" world-premiered at the "Toronto International Film Festival" and was selected for the official competition at CINEMED Montpellier in 2014. 30 festivals later, the film won 13 awards including Best Film at the "Milan Asian, South American and African Film Festival", Best Film at the "International Film Festival of Tetouan" and Best Film at the "Alexandria International Film Festival." In 2014, he released his second feature documentary 71Ž2, shot three years earlier before the first free elections in Tunisia.

In a career spanning over 15 years in creating and directing commercials, he worked for international brands like Danone, Henkel, OOreedOO, Orange, Nestlé, Yoplait, Géant, Citroën…
